Terms & Conditions

Last updated 1 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OOLALA, including our website, future mobile application and related services.

By using OOLALA, joining our waitlist or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. About OOLALA

OOLALA is a Netherlands-based platform for discovering real-world experiences, events, communities, venues and places.

OOLALA is currently in its pre-launch stage.

You can contact us at hello@gotoolala.com.

2. What OOLALA Provides

OOLALA helps users discover and keep track of things to do.

Our services may include:

  • discovering experiences, events and places;
  • searching and filtering experiences;
  • map-based discovery;
  • saving experiences;
  • following communities, organisers and venues;
  • receiving personalised recommendations;
  • creating a profile;
  • adding previous experiences, photos or other content; and
  • interacting with communities or other users.

Some features may be introduced gradually and may not always be available.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an OOLALA account.

When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep your login details secure.

You may not impersonate another person, create misleading accounts or use OOLALA for fraudulent purposes.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

4. Experience & Event Information

OOLALA collects and organises information about experiences from different sources.

Information may come from:

  • organisers and communities;
  • venues and businesses;
  • publicly available websites or event pages;
  • publicly available social-media pages;
  • third-party sources;
  • users; and
  • OOLALA's own research.

Listings may include information such as event names, descriptions, dates, prices, locations, images, organiser information and booking links.

We aim to keep listings useful and accurate, but events change frequently. We cannot guarantee that every date, price, location, availability or other detail will always be complete or current.

You should confirm important details with the organiser or booking provider before purchasing a ticket, travelling or attending.

5. Communities, Organisers & Venues

OOLALA may create profiles for communities, organisers, venues or businesses based on publicly available professional or business information.

These profiles are intended to help users discover who is behind an experience.

An authorised representative may request to claim, correct or manage a profile.

If you represent a community, organiser, venue or business and believe information displayed about you is incorrect or should be reviewed, contact hello@gotoolala.com.

We may ask for reasonable evidence that you are authorised to act for that organisation.

6. OOLALA Is Not Usually the Event Organiser

Unless an experience specifically states that it is organised by OOLALA, OOLALA does not organise, operate or control the experience.

Events and experiences are provided by independent organisers, communities, venues and businesses.

The relevant organiser remains responsible for matters including:

  • running the experience;
  • admission;
  • health and safety;
  • cancellations or changes;
  • refunds;
  • accessibility;
  • participant conduct;
  • ticket validity; and
  • compliance with applicable laws.

Any dispute concerning an independently organised experience should generally be raised with the organiser or booking provider.

7. Bookings, Tickets & Third Parties

OOLALA may link you to external websites where you can book or purchase experiences.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, OOLALA is not currently the seller of those tickets or experiences.

When you complete a transaction through another provider, their terms, privacy policy, cancellation conditions and refund policy apply.

OOLALA is not responsible for payments, refunds or transactions handled entirely by independent third parties.

If OOLALA introduces direct ticketing, subscriptions, paid memberships or other paid services in the future, additional terms may apply.

8. Your Content

You may eventually be able to upload or publish content including photos, comments, reviews, posts, experience memories and profile information.

You keep ownership of content you create.

By uploading content to OOLALA, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and technically adapt that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the functionality of OOLALA.

You must have the right to share anything you upload.

You must not upload content that:

  • infringes another person's rights;
  • is unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
  • contains harassment, threats or hate speech;
  • contains illegal or harmful material;
  • violates another person's privacy;
  • contains malicious software;
  • impersonates another person; or
  • otherwise violates these Terms.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • interfere with or damage OOLALA;
  • attempt to bypass platform security;
  • access accounts or systems without permission;
  • use bots or automation to abuse the platform;
  • systematically extract OOLALA's database without permission;
  • collect personal information about other users for spam or harassment;
  • use OOLALA for illegal activity;
  • manipulate platform functionality or engagement; or
  • falsely represent your relationship with a community, venue or organiser.

10. Community Safety

OOLALA connects people with real-world experiences.

You remain responsible for exercising reasonable judgement when attending activities or interacting with other users.

OOLALA does not independently inspect every event, location, organiser or user appearing on the platform.

You should follow organiser instructions, local law and appropriate safety precautions.

Users can report inappropriate content or behaviour to hello@gotoolala.com.

11. Personalised Recommendations

OOLALA may personalise experiences shown to you using information such as your interests, searches, saves, location, previous experiences and platform activity.

Recommendations are intended to make discovery easier.

A recommendation does not mean that OOLALA guarantees, endorses or independently verifies the quality or safety of an experience.

12. Partnerships, Sponsored Content & Advertising

OOLALA may work with communities, organisers, venues and brands.

In the future, OOLALA may display:

  • sponsored experiences;
  • brand partnerships;
  • promoted communities;
  • advertising; or
  • paid collaborations.

Where content is sponsored or commercially promoted, we will identify it where required by applicable law.

13. Intellectual Property

OOLALA's name, branding, logos, software, design, interfaces and original materials belong to OOLALA or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, commercially exploit, modify or distribute OOLALA materials without permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party event names, images, trademarks and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Platform Availability

We aim to keep OOLALA available and functioning properly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue features as the platform develops.

The pre-launch product may change significantly before or after public release.

15. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:

  • serious or repeated violations of these Terms;
  • fraud;
  • illegal activity;
  • harassment or safety risks;
  • security threats;
  • infringement of another person's rights; or
  • legal requirements.

You may stop using OOLALA at any time.

16. Liability

OOLALA remains responsible where required by applicable law.

However, to the extent permitted by law, OOLALA is not responsible for losses caused solely by independent organisers, venues, users, third-party booking services, event cancellations or inaccurate information supplied by third parties.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded under Dutch or EU consumer law.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to These Terms

OOLALA will continue to develop, so these Terms may change.

If we make significant changes affecting registered users, we may provide notice through the platform, website or email.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available to you under applicable EU or national law.
